Gardens in the Hills High in the hills north of the Niagara escarpment we have built amazing gardens modeled after areas from around the world — all in zone 4b. Here, we have a sense of the south of France. Our Italian garden cradles the front of a house stuccoed in the style of Spain. Our hardy rose garden spreads out in formal squares along the south. Near our spring fed pond is formal splendor in our patio gardens. The entire farm rolls in green waves, surrounding this oasis of formality. Horse trails wind through our forest, up over hill and around our hilly pastures.
